Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts can be submitted in either Bahasa or English, encompassing a wide spectrum of research outcomes, including findings from field research, literary research, and articles that shed light on phenomena within the domains of Communication, Politics, International Relations, Social Welfare, and Business Administration.

GENERAL

  1. Jurnal ISIP: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik accepts submissions that are exclusively written in either Bahasa or English;
  2. Authors are required to declare that the scientific work or manuscript they are submitting has not been published previously and will not be published in any other media. You can access the Ethical Statement form here for further details and compliance here;*
  3. Authors acknowledge that any published scientific work or manuscript will be subject to the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 license;
  4. Submissions should be accompanied by the author's name, the name and address of their affiliation, and a valid email address for contact purposes;
  5. Authors will be notified of the acceptance or rejection of their manuscript through email; 
  6. Review Policy: Each submitted article or manuscript will undergo a double-blind review process;
  7. The topic of submission is in accordance with scope of Jurnal ISIP: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik;
  8. Submissions must align with the scope of Jurnal ISIP: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik.Submissions should clearly demonstrate the contribution of the research to the advancement of both society and the scientific development in the fields of Communication, Politics, International Relations, Social Welfare, and Business Administration.

MANUSCRIPT CONTENT

Manuscript. Manuscripts should be within the range of 5000-7000 words (equivalent to 10-15 pages), including embedded figures and tables, without any appendices, and the file format should be in Microsoft Office (.doc/.docx). They must be formatted on A4 size paper, adhering to the specified rules regarding font size, type, spacing, and style as outlined in the provided template. 

  1. Title, Abstract and Keywords
  • Title must be written in bilingual format. However, if none of the authors is a native Indonesian speaker, it's permissible to leave the Indonesian parts blank. The title should be written in Times New Roman 12, bold, and left-aligned, and it should reflect the content, be interesting, and convey a strong message.
  • The abstract should be no longer than 150 words, in Times New Roman 12, single-spaced. It must encapsulate the core essence of the article, providing a concise background, stating the objectives, summarizing the methods, and presenting the study's results or findings, all in a single paragraph.
  • Keywords are written in Bahasa and English 3-5 words/phrases and consist of important words/phrases from the article.
  1. Author's name should be formatted in Times New Roman 12 and in bold, while affiliation and email should be in Times New Roman 10. 
  2. Introduction. In the "Introduction" section, it is imperative to provide a comprehensive background that contextualizes the research, articulates the key issues or challenges, and explicitly outlines the study's objectives. It is equally essential to explain how you have addressed the problem at hand, clearly state the aims of your study, and highlight the novelty and contribution of your work. Additionally, in this section, you should describe the theoretical or conceptual framework that underpins your research, providing readers with a clear understanding of the theoretical foundation guiding your study. This comprehensive approach ensures that the reader gains a solid grasp of the research's context, objectives, innovation, and theoretical framework right from the introduction.
  3. Method. Jurnal ISIP: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik is a scientific online journal, so  the used method is the scientific method in the form of case study, surveys, experiments, text analysis and other methods commonly used in the world of research. It is also recommended to describe techniques level from method is used briefly and clearly, so that the reader can easily understand.
  4. Result and Discussion. In presenting the results, strive for clarity and conciseness, avoiding the presentation of raw data. The discussion should delve into the significance of the research findings rather than reiterating them. It is advisable to refrain from extensive citations and extensive discussion of published literature. It's worth noting that Jurnal ISIP: Jurnal Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik will undertake the final formatting of your paper.
  5. Conclusion. In the "Conclusion" section, strive to lead the reader to the core points of your paper while ensuring that your conclusions align with the objectives of the article. You are also encouraged to include suggestions or recommendations within this section. Please present your conclusions, suggestions, and/or recommendations in a narrative form, avoiding the use of bullet points or numbering for a more integrated presentation.
  6. Acknowledgments play an essential role in recognizing individuals and organizations that have provided valuable assistance to the author(s) in various capacities. This section should also encompass acknowledgments for sponsors and financial support. If there are numerous parties to acknowledge, it is advised to consolidate your acknowledgments into a single paragraph. To maintain readability, please refrain from using bullet points or numbering in this section.
  7. Bibliography. The bibliography should adhere to the APA-Style 7th Edition format, employing Times New Roman 12 as the font. It is highly recommended to utilize a reference manager application like Mendeley, EndNote, or similar tools To enhance the management of your references. It ensures the accuracy and consistency of your citations and references. The article should include a minimum of 20 references, with at least 80% of them being primary references, which encompass journals, theses, dissertations, and all forms of research reports. Additionally, all references must originate from sources published within the last ten years to ensure the most current and relevant citations. When referencing online sources, it is not permitted to cite from Wikipedia, personal blogs, or non-scientific websites. References obtained from the internet should originate from reliable and reputable sources. The bibliography should be arranged by author name in ascending order. Authors should not include references in the form of footnotes or endnotes within the main text of the article. The following are examples of writing bibliography in APA style 7thEdition.
